The International Masters in Sustainability Management
As a School that operates at the intersection between engineering, management and economics, we dive into solutions for sustainability at all levels of management. In addition to the implications for policy and strategy making, we investigate and teach how sustainability change corporate processes, supply chains, operations and technologies across different industries.
This lead MIP to create 5 new International Masters in Sustainability. The International Masters in Sustainability are 12-month International Master programmes offered by MIP Politecnico di Milano, which provide students with the necessary skills for a managerial career in the corporate world and the sustainability field.
The programmes also include the following practical activities: Lessons, Workshops, Company Presentations, Soft Skills Empowerment, Project Work. The masters are taught entirely in English. In partnership with the main players in the Sustainability field
In particular the Master in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship curated by Tiresia, is focusing on the trasformation of economies and businesses towards the hybritization of business modelsto pursue the generation of positive social value alongside economic objectives. The training has been designed to let participants developing ecpertise that anticipates this global change, simultaneously allowing them to virtuously align personal and professional values
Master in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship are undergoing a complex transformation. Social enterprises are evolving into very interesting organizational hybrids, they intentionally pursue economic sustainability and measurable social impact objectives, they are increasingly structured in terms of management practices and they adopt technological solutions to address social problems. This transformation calls for new skills and competences that this course is set to provide.
The new Master in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship is focusing on the trasformation of economies and businesses towards the hybritization of business modelsto pursue the generation of positive social value alongside economic objectives. The training has been designed to let participants developing ecpertise that anticipates this global change, simultaneously allowing them to virtuously align personal and professional values.
The first part of the course is dedicated to lay the ground for a broad understanding of general sustainability management issues, followed by specific courses addressing all the most important aspects of social entrepreneurship. First, we define social entrepreneurship and review all the different implications of hybridity and the crucial management problems related to the joint pursue of impact and profit.
Second, we describe different alternative social business models and we teach you how to design one that is best suited to address specific social problems.
Third, you’ll learn how to scale your social venture and to partner with profit and not for profit organizations in order to do so. Fourth, we will deal with the problem to access specialized finance for impact in order to grow you social enterprises and finally we dedicate our last course to technology adoption and management in social entrepreneurship.
